Liquid Insanity started out exactly one decade ago; an effort to escape dictatorial, overly-moderated and regulated auto-enthusiast forums that I belonged to.  I set out to create a place that was free from unnecessary rules that prevented users from being themselves.  With the exception of bans on political or religious topics (and blatant dickery), members of LI were not hindered by the chains of any political correctness or persnickety etiquette, other than that born on and of the site itself.

Although it was a considerable investment of everyone’s time, energy, dedication, and even sometimes finances, Liquid Insanity turned out to be an amazing venture; one I won’t ever forget.  I hope that you all enjoyed, as much as I, the countless hours of entertainment, which more than justified the hours spent posting, bickering, researching, photoshopping graphics, sharing and comparing…

Long before the launch of Facebook or Twitter, Liquid Insanity was responsible for bringing together friends, travel buddies, business partners, even couples.  How insane is it to think that some of the couples, who met on li ended up having kids?!  Liquid Insanity BABIES… literally, a second generation of LIers! 

I would like to thank you all, without whom, none of this would have been possible; for your creativity, your participation, and your dedication to a site, and a community that I will, and already do miss very much.
